1
Make sure everyone is safe, and call 911 or KSP if needed
People first, then the vehicles. If anyone is hurt, or the road is blocked, call 911 or the Kentucky State Police. Get off 90 if you can do it safely.
2
Take photos
The whole vehicle from a few steps back, then the damage, the other vehicle, and the road. Do it before anything is moved, if you are safe to stand there.
3
Call us. We can line up a wrecker
Call or text the shop. If it will not drive, we can line up a local wrecker. We do not own the tow truck. Demo copy.
4
File your claim. You can choose your shop
Call your insurance company and open the claim. They may name a shop. You can still choose this one. You are the customer.
5
Estimate, adjuster review and supplements
We write what we can see. The adjuster reviews it. When we take a bumper off and find a bent radiator support, we write a supplement so the extra work is on the estimate, not a surprise.
6
Repair, quality check, wash and pickup
We repair it, Cody watches the paint in daylight, we wash it, and you pick it up. We will walk the truck with you before you leave.
What a deductible is
Your deductible is the part of a covered repair you pay before the insurance company pays the rest. If the deductible is $500, that $500 is yours. We walk the estimate so you can see it. This is a demo explanation, not advice about your policy.
What to bring
- The vehicle, if it will roll
- Your driver’s license
- Insurance card and the claim number, if you have one
- Photos of the whole vehicle and the damage
- Any tow or rental paperwork you already have
Rental and towing
We can line up a local wrecker, and we can help set up a rental through your claim. We do not own the wrecker or the rental cars. What a policy pays is between you and your company. Demo copy. Call (606) 555-0147.
Bring it out, or send the photos.
Dale will look at what you have and tell you the next step. No pressure, and no call center.
